On January 29, the NC Division of Veterans Affairs released their 2014 annual report, providing a look at what the agency has accomplished in moving the State toward meeting its mission of making North Carolina the most Veteran friendly state in the country. Increases in the following areas were reported: 113% gain in the completion of Veterans’ benefit claims from 11,405 in 2013 to 24,256 in 2014; 38% growth in service locations from 13 in 2013 to 21 in 2014; and $400 million increase in direct payments to NC Veterans.
