Stand Downs are an opportunity for Veterans experiencing homelessness to receive services and supplies such as food, shelter, clothing, health screenings, and benefits counseling. Veterans can also receive referrals for health care, housing, employment, and behavioral health treatment. They are collaborative events, coordinated between local VA Medical Centers, other government agencies, and community-based homeless service providers.
